I entered a contest, and had to describe why the Passion Planner would be beneficial for my clients and why we were deserving... and I WON! What?! A huge box was donated and delivered to my door! So excited! ;) For those of you that may not have seen these before, they are Ah-May-Zing! The main focus of Boot Camp Babes is to empower each one of my clients to become better versions of themselves. Putting a Passion Planner into their hands will be such a helpful tool!
What is it? It is a vision board, a calendar, a journal, a sketchbook, a gratitude log, a goal setting guide, weekly and daily focuses, to do lists and motivational quotes... all compiled magically for each and every one of your thoughts. I am a person that needs to see things mapped out visually. In this age of digital everything, that has been buried and lost for many of us. It has been proven time and time again that the act of physically writing something down makes a bigger impact on us all. And taking the time to actually sit down and process what our day, week, month, year on so on should look like, leads to a happier, more organized, more successful person. For us creatives, adding color, photos and sketching out our thoughts is even more powerful. Yep, there is space for that too!
I am grateful to have been chosen as a recipient for the donated Passion Planners! Their company is parallel to Boot Camp Babes, as it is based on helping others and igniting a passion in them. I cannot wait for the Babes to receive theirs! They gave me enough that I can gift them to a lucky number of new clients coming on as well! A huge thank you to Angelia Trinidad, the CEO and founder of Passion Planners. She is a young women with an inspiring story, that has followed her own dream and made it a reality!
One of my passions is encouraging others to seek out personal goals and tackle them. Both the physical and the emotional ones... I would like to share one of my personal goals with you today,
Goal: Gain clients and social media followers by inspiring them through proven results and not by showing them tons of photos of my own body, even with the pressure to do so. And taking it a step further by inspiring other women trainers to do the same!
Being a fitness professional in the age of social media madness can be tough at times. I refuse to blast half naked photos of myself day after day with the hopes of gaining a million "followers." I pretty much suck at social media as do not do it as often as I "should"... But, I try to keep up with posting items that I think create value or make someone smile. Unfortunately, when I go online, I often find myself feeling frustrated with everything else I see out there. I understand the point of posting a photo of yourself looking physically fit as a good advertisement for selling a workout program, I do. I have some photos of myself in athletic gear, but I am not naked! LOL I do not understand why taking a photo showing all kinds of skin is necessary? You can still look sexy and athletic in a workout outfit that doesn't show your actual butt cheeks. Sure, that person is getting a lot of attention and "likes" by many for doing that... But, those people are not clients that they are going to empower and help! I am not in the business of winning a popularity contest, and I want to be a good example to my daughters! I get so annoyed when I see a talented personal trainer sinking to that level. I would rather have a handful of true clients than millions of creepers. BUT here is when it gets tricky and I have a hard time convincing others to do the same. Getting all of that attention on social media propels your sites to the top of search engines and improves your Facebook and Instagram presence greatly... so, there is more exposure and one could argue that it doesn't matter how they get their name out there as long as it is out there... thus the cycle and the sultry photos continue. They are everywhere! My hope is that there are other trainers out there like me that will one-day post less and less of these kinds of photos and maybe even stop all together! That they will focus on the client instead of the creepers. Anyone out there with me? LOL It is craziness and getting out of hand. I want women that are on a fitness journey to be built up by other women, and not feel like Sh*T when they see one of these photos and compare themselves to them. Envy is a real and powerful thing. I want my clients to start their fitness journey from a healthy foundation of self-love and self-worth, not from a platform of "wanting to be like someone else" I want them to be themselves and that to ALWAYS be enough!
As Tony Robbins would say, "Go and Live with Passion"... Seek out what matters to you most and act on it! I hope you are one of the lucky few to receive your own free Passion Planner from me before they run out! And I look forward to helping you achieve your goals. :) Even if they are as controversial as mine just sounded! LOL I kind of feel like I should delete some of that, but I'll just leave it there. Hopefully it can resonate with someone... that is the goal after all! :) XOXO, Andrea Kaye
